Hey there, thanks for stopping by. I’m Royal Qasimov.
I was born and raised in Azerbaijan. I am a qualified ICT teacher, school administrator and Google Certified educator skilled with essential 21st-century skills.
After graduating from Ankara University, Turkey, I started my career in Kigali, Rwanda in a Cambridge International School and then in Nairobi, Kenya where I worked for six years.
I currently work for the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry & Biology here in Aktau, Kazakhstan as the teacher of Computer Science.
When I’m not teaching, I’m spending time with my wife and son and/or gaining new skills through online courses.
During my stay in East-Africa, I had a chance to work closely with teachers and students over 30 different nationalities which I enjoyed very much.
Seeing my students struggling with things like career goals, self-development and academics forced me to find the ways to help them. I am working on some projects to assist them.
Future of education and technology interests me very much. I believe, as educators, we should prepare our students for 2030 and beyond. It is very obvious that many of today’s students will be employed in jobs that do not exist yet.
I do also love coding. I am currently improving my skills in Android App Development using Android Studio.
